I have a dell xps gen2 running windows xp with a 3.0 ghz processor, an ATI all in wonder radeon 9800 video card. I can load and run the game fine without changing compatibility mode. If I do change mode, the game will not run. I am in 16 bit color and 800 x 600 resolution. I know that COW is the preferred version, but I am hesitant to invest $40 in a game that I am not sure is going to be compatible past the next windows service pack upgrade. I also would love to be able to play with/change the data values on some of the equipment. Can you help me?
