Battlefield 1942 Mods [Archive]

Hey People

Just bough 42 and have been playing around with it. The game is awesome and I must have spent three hours playing it last night. Ross sent me to planet battlefield and directed me to some of the mods. Which ones would you recomend and which ones would you stay away from? I saw the battlefield 1918 and its rated fairly high as well as the desert mod. But the one that has peaked my interest is the Somali Mod. Has anyone played it and what do they think

+1 for FH, the best server for it (acording to the rankings) is at Wolfgaming.net

DC is fun too but I don't play it that much.

Check out Eve of Destruction its a Veitnam mod that IMHO is much beter than BFV

ditto on Forgotten Hope. I found Experience WW2 (XWW2) even better (more realistic) than FH, but I could never find any populated servers! So I spend most of my time playing the original game ('Vanilla' BF1942) or FH.

Desert combat is the best mod by far forgotten hope anin't bad either. I have TGW the great war that is a lot of fun.

Don't forget Battlegroup '42 as well, with the new 1.1 patch the AI has become a lot more challenging. I think both BG42 and FH are good, for different reasons.

EOD though has been my favorite for awhile now.

Haven't been able to try DC, no one I know can get it to work on their PC :cry:

Desert combat and FH are the best around Eve of destruction ain't bad either.
