Ok I am trying again to find an opponent. :D I am new on the ladder but have played in about 6 or 7 PBEM games. 4 of them have been in Piero Fiero's WWI scenario. I tend to like the earlier time periods but I kind of got the bug that I would like to try this scenario. I will be learning to use some of the advanced units (airborne, airmobile etc.) but I think I know enough from playing some solitaire scenario's that I will make a game of it.

I would prefer to be the US player, but if you have your heart set on it, I will play the USSR.

I typically get my turns back within a day or two, but with some of the other massive games I am playing right now I probably would only manage to do one or two turns a week - perhaps more after the holiday.

If interested email me at mcarroll1ATnew.rr.com. Thanks

I'd be very interested in any comments/suggestions you may have. I've playtested the scenario with several people but I am sure that there are still issues with it.
Good luck.

I will certainly do that. Looks like a good scenario.

I do have one question - how could you give USMC lower proficiency than the Army guys

I did?!! I thought I made USMC units higher prof than regular army (except the 4th Marine Reserve Division). I should have! Or you may be refering to the Army's 82/101 Airborne and Special Forces/Ranger Rtgs? Well, that is my own personal bias I suppose from my own service :D

Well basic USMC is 80% units like 1st Armored are 80%. Of course my personal bias from my service during that time was the USMC was much better trained, motivated and prepared. But hey who can say. :D I am sure there was a range of values.

I agree with you that the USMC 3 active divisions should have higher prof. than the regular army units. I thought I did that...but obviously I am wrong. I haveto go back and check...Also I had set the replacement rate to be higher for USMC and Abn/SF units.
Thanks!

I have not looked closely at all the units. Also I would not give the Reserve Marines too big a hit. They are reserve formations but the Marine Corps looks at Reserves differently than the Army. You only need to look at what is happening in Iraq to see the difference. I would not be surprised if the Army changes the way they look at National Guard and Reserve components in the future. Again it is a matter of opinion now that I am a scumbag civilian :D

I have been looking to start one of this as a playtest (off-ladder) for awhile. My turn rates will be reasonable, but 'tis the season, so there will be delays, but I have never dropped a game.

I know the TOAW system quite well, but have never done more than drool over the map and units in this one, so it would be a new experience for me as well.

Well I went back and checked... you are right. USMC and most active duty army units have the same prof. 80%. I will put this as one of the things to change in the next version. Increase USMC prof.
