Thanks for the welcome dannyboo, glad to be aboard.
Yes Michael, Rommel rocks in T41, awesome! I like playing T41.
The new road maps and bridges for N44 makes it a lot easier to look at in 2D. All available at Glen site. Some of these terrain art work can be use in other PzC games also.

Is this a seperate mod from the unit art mod?
Yes Michael, have a look and see lots of goodies!

I wish Volcano man put his artistic skills to the SB series. I have used his unit box for the Germans and SS for SB and it works well.
Newer art packs available on Glen's website. Some dated 20 Dec 2004, so just posted.
More new art packs posted.

Check out near the bottom - ther are some art mods you can download-- no samples as far as I can tell - but if I get energetic I will install them and take some screenies.
A slew of new mods for most the PzC and maybe some MC were posted around the 13th.
Quite a bit of updates now. Excellent work from VolcanoMan.
A new Art pack for The First Blitzkrieg has been posted on Glenn's site.

Quite a bit of work from Volcano Man
Would both PBEM players need to have the same art packs to play?
Not being certain but I would say no. Glenn or Rich can confirm this.

I think this answer -well Rich or glenn are probably best able to answer this -- but structurally - if just the graphics are used I can't see there being a problem -- however if you were playing some of Volcano Man's mod'ed scenarios - these updates can also update the values used in those scenarios of his.
Which in effect is an educated guess - but really is more like "it depends" -- I would be surprised if the the actual artwork did anything but substitute itself for the original or previous file names (e.g. the .bmp files) ...Also scenario files -as long as you are using the same files and versions of those files -should be good to go. Not all of VM's art packs have additional scenarios -and you'd have to be doing a PBEM of one of his in order to matter.
Now since I think this is probably more specifically meant regarding Kharkov and the tourney you guys are doing -- I don't think the Kharkov art pack had addl scenarios from VM -so it should be ok. Will have to put on the HPS Batman lamp for some input closer to the source. :)
Would both PBEM players need to have the same art packs to play?
NO, user side only. Same version is a must for the game though.
It still calls for the same file for the pic anyway, it is just a new pic inserted. Art will not affect PBEM.
Like modded vehicles for CM.
Thought as much but I assume nothing. Thanks.
After downloading all of the packs, I must say that the Salerno 43 art pack is just simply outstanding. What a difference in look it does.
Ya, Ed does some nice work. Adds more to the game.
Head over to Glenn's website for a few updated Art packs:

Just a couple of quick questions:
Is there a quick fix for the turn graphic? Mine seems to have scrolled to the right a bit so that the turn "x" of "y" has the numbers run into the words (if that makes sense)
Do the art packs alter the maps or just the sidebar art/unit pics?
Will there be a fix for the short-barrel 76 Soviet gun to show that gun as opposed to the 76 crash-boom? (Smolensk '41)<<or am I just anal?>>
I have to say, I _really_ like these art packs, especially for Smolensk. Keep 'em coming!
Volcano Man's art packs really enhance Panzer Campaigns. They look really good!
They sure do. Can hardly wait for a Stalingrad pack now.

Has anyone heard any planned releases/dates?
Volcano man's art packs are second to none. They add to the game more than any other mod or enhancement out there. I dont know how any HPS fan could play a game without them. Extremely well done art from an extremely talented man.

It isn't a planned release. He is working on them but he has been busy with other things too. So when he has them finished, we'll make them available. I guess the variable is how much time he needs to complete them and when will he have the time to do it.

afaik- the actual art is not Volcano Man's - it seems more of an image editing job (a damned good one - mind you) , using images from Atomic Games' boxes, and Osprey stuff - I have seen a fair amount of the images used on other media.
The reason they can't get used by HPS is that they'd be copyright violations I think. (At least that is what I heard from one guy who'd have been in a position to know but will remain anonymous).

I know that the actual art isn't his (he uses a fair amount of Ron Volstad's work, among others) but he can still can claim credit (rightfully) as he is the one who assembles it for the various PzC/MC titles. You are correct about the copyright information. Glenn clearly states that the reason that art packs aren't included on the game cds is that some of the work is copyrighted & that some of the images (swastikas & SS runes to be exact) are illegal in some countries.
In any case I'd like to thank VM for creating these add ons & Glenn as well for hosting them.

I don't believe I was referring to your post however - but one a couple earlier -- really who gives a damn what I think anyway? I use them, I like them as well, but that post made it seem as if he did the actual artwork.
I did not mean to cause a problem and I am going to go F off now and do something that matters - I got dogs that need feeding - or I could just load up NHL 06.

No problem I thought you were referring to my post above. Just a misunderstanding I guess.
What's that pic that you use for an avatar? Is it a regimental badge? Just curious.
