Project Blitzkrieg Update - Hello Blitzkrieg Wargamers! We are coming close to releasing our first East Front 2 CD expansion pack. I expect to have things ready to go by 21 March 2003, if not sooner.

Our first CD scenarios are a compilation of various battles along the Eastern Front, but with a strong flavor revolving around the three month Battle of Odessa in 1941.

Depending on how real world events impact my schedule, a second CD centered upon the Smolensk 1941 Campaign will follow within 90 days. There are some downright awesome scenarios in this CD.

Our release date may even be sooner, as almost all the hard work is already done. I just need to launch the first CD and make sure the supporting business infrastructure is in place to support sales in a professional manner. We want to do this right!

To let you know some details, in December 2002 we inked an agreement with Talonsoft/Take Two that allows us to legally sale our expansion packs. These offerings are expansion disks, not game modifications. Fundamentals of the games are unchanged. We are offering new units for our scenarios and new historically accurate formations for scenario designers.

After some more hard work and a few other delays due to real world interuptions, we are going "GOLD" within a week or so. I'm just waiting on some installation program details and a test run of our CD layout to come back from the factory. I expect that shortly after they arrive, I will burn our final product for testing. Once it clears the installation test, it will be uploaded to the factory for our "GOLD" edition.

Shortly after that, East Front 2: Project Blitzkrieg #1 will be available for purchase.

There we have it... some good news brewing for the Campaign Series.

Hope all is well
Take care and good luck

I'm pumped too... and continuing work for the second EF2 expansion.

Regarding the first.. My understanding is that everything is ready to go and just needs to be burned on CD. Unfortunately, Jim (the man in charge) is detained due to work related issues. I'm hoping it will be ready to go soon!!!!

I'll keep the forum updated as soon as I find out more.

It's ready.. it's coming.. just a matter of how soon!

Take care and good luck

Project Blitzkrieg #1 Update

Just to let you guys know where we stand.

We are running to ground an error in the obx files that cropped up in the final version. We are backtracking to correct the error. And once it is done, we'll be wrapping for production.

While I work the beautiful fields of Ft. Stewart, Georgia, I expect Steve and Chris will have it fixed by the time I return from my jaunt.

Hi Big Ivan

It's ready to go from my knowledge, but the man in charge is out of town due to work issues.

When he returns expect the CD to go to Master.

I'm still working on the scenarios (playtesting and revisions) for second EF2 expansion and the WF expansion is strongly underway.

Thanks for showing interest! As soon as I find out I'll keep the post updated.

I'm getting anxious myself! :)

Take care and good luck
