Okay, to avoid a bunch of different topics about UO, I think that one main thread will be good. So in the interest of organization, here it is!

My thoughts on the expansion pack-

Just picked it up a couple of hours ago. The single-player game is ok...Some nice scripted sequences, some large-scale intense battles. I have only played a couple of American missions so far though, so I am not one to judge it fully. What I am really excited about though is the multiplayer. The vehicles add a whole new dimension to the game. IMHO they control just right, and they are handled realistically. I was lying on the ground and a tank ran over me...and he killed me. IIRC other vehicular games like the BF series just push you aside, this game handles vehicles right. Also, there are other great additions. The sprint key has been added, and adds a lot to the game. Being able to quickly run to avoid fire was a much needed part of last years game. Also, deployable MGs are here which also are really cool. But most important of all, besides vehicles, is the new game modes. Base Assault is a new favorite of mine. Each side has 3 bases which the other side tries to destroy...Really fun.

Anyway...those are my initial thoughts. Anyone else wish to comment on the game? You don't have to own it to have opinions :D.

picked it up last night! I plan to install it tonight and give it a go! So far the fans have been giving it a thumbs up!

The multiplayer features are what sold me on getting the expansion! Hopefully, I will be online this weekend improving people's kill scores in UF!!

Bought it last night, came home and played to 4:30 AM :D I read a review on the game and agree with what they had to say so far. The single player is good In the Bulge mission the game throws alot of Germans at you at once making it a tough battle. They even over run you poistion in some missions. The review says the sinlge player is kind of short.
The M.P. is where the game really shines! The vehicles really add to the game. I found it a little tough in some missions to tell the difference between American and German tanks. I believe that either side can use either weapon. I may be wrong on this though. The maps are huge! And the game gives you ranks for kills and completing mission objectives.
I say to everyone buy it. If just for the M.P. The only downside is that the game only supports cable or higher connections in M.P.

I played some single player missions today. found them to be a bit more "on the rail" compared to the original (If i wandered 10 ft from Sgt. Moody my character would die! wtf?). I still found the action intense and the game fun overall!

My online experience:

I'm having serious problems with Punkbuster turning my online experience into a freakin' slideshow!! If anyone else has this problem there are some tips over at www.evenbalance.com to improve your frame rates. I haven't tried these suggestions as of this post!

Fortunately, when I turn off punkbuster I have no framerate issues online! I did manage to jump in a couple of quick games and I really like the larger maps and lower player density. The game also has several new weapons, but so far I've only used the panzershreck to take out some Shermans.

so far I'm having a blast with CoD:UO!

AMERICAN LAST MISSION SPOILER ALERT!

Ok. Just finished the American part of UO. I feel that the last mission was the best one, followed by the 3rd. At the end of the last one, where the Germans had the building totally surrounded, I was down to about 30 rounds of ammo, we were pinned, and the CoD theme is running in the background.....then the P-47's come in...man I felt proud :D

Anyway, great game so far.

Picked it up last night and only had about 30 minutes to try out the multiplayer… pretty good stuff. I haven’t had a chance to use any vehicles yet, but the deployable MG’s and smoke grenades certainly add a new tactical aspect to the game. The sprint option is a great addition as well.

The vote is still out on the ranking system, probably until I manage to get the ability to call in an arty strike.

right on! I completely forgot about the valuable smoke grenades!
Hopefully, we can have a scrim/practice online soon!

I'm playing the demo from the latest PC Gamer right now, and for an FPS, it kicks arse.

All works fine on my computer, despite the HT&L requirement, which my computer does not have. I think I'm gonna break down and get the original CoD with my next pay.
