Hello all!

First time of posting in this Forum.

I occasionally amuse myself by designing scenarios for CM:BB but more often CM:AK. I don't pretend that they are much cop, but I do get a kick out of setting them up.

I've just knocked up a new scenario set in in North Africa, June 1941. The objective is to either defend or capture an Airfield and an outlying town along with the Governor's Residence. The battle takes place at dawn. Defenders are the British, attackers are Germans, both sizes have forces approximately 2,000 points in strength, with an advantage to the British, although some of these points have been "spent" on fixed positions so it probably evens out when all it said and done. All forces - for both sides, are padlocked in place.

The scenario has full briefings and landmarks - map size is 1200m x 1200m - essentially, it's totally ready to go. It's set for 50 turns - but I have no idea if that's too many or not.

Basically, I was wondering if anyone fancied giving it a whirl, as either side, against the AI, so they can tell me if it's any good or not? As I say, I don't want to make out that it's the greatest thing ever, but I enjoyed making it - I just need to know if it's any good to actually play it. :D

The thing is - having set it up, I kind of know what's on each side, so there's no "suspense" in it for me. Does that make sense?

I've done probably about half a dozen scenarios all told - and I was working on an Operation a while ago - but it became monstrous so I put it to one side. If anyone thinks this one is any good I might pluck up the courage to ask about some of my other ones. Alternatively, I shall run away and hide in the corner. :cheeky:

Go ahead and email me the scenario. I will give it a go and provide you with some feedback.

Why not post your scenario at the Proving Grounds site?
The PG site is dedicated to testing CM scenario's before they get posted to the Scenario Depot site.
You will find some great playtesters who will give you fair comments about your scenario and your scenario will be given it's own disscussion area where play testers can post comments and you can reply to them :D
Here's the link to the Proving Grounds :
The Proving Grounds (http://www.the-proving-grounds.com/index.html)

They are always looking out for budding play testers as well! ;)

Thanks for the tip.

Right now, further to NORAD's original playtest, there are about 3 chaps playing each other on this map from different sides, so I'm hoping to have the definitive version available soon.

Oh, and welcome to the forums!

Thanks for the warm welcome DS!
I only mentioned the Proving Grounds site as I know how difficult it can be to find people to test your scenario. Using the PG site, you have playtesters who don't know you and so can give an honest review of your scenario.... my last one there got some stick!
My own fault. I usually build scenario's to be played against the AI but for that scenario I build it for a two player game so it wasn't tested by me before posting it at the site.
Once the main faults are ironed out ( it's a converted Talonsoft EF scenario ) I will post it back there again so they can test it for me.

You're welcome.

Hey, seeing as you are in Cardiff, I don't suppose you've seen them filming the new Doctor Who series have you?
