Finn Wars:
The latest version of the Finn Wars mod has been released, adding several new features. To download version 0.56, visit http://finnwars.com/downloads.php

Important gameplay changes listed here: Control points may need more than one player to capture. Look the sign attached to the flagpole.
New mortar aiming system.
Tanks can only be used by the team they are assigned to. So Soviet Union can use t-26,t-38,t-28 and Finland can use Vickers and Renault-FT.
Major Changes:
-New surface textures for all maps
-T-38 added
-Skis added
-Invasion of Tornio map added
-First to Fight map added
-Crossing the river map added
-Viipuri Suburban map added
-Terenttilä Second Line map added
-Many bugs fixed on other maps
-Lemetti and Middle of Nowhere deleted
-Frontline has been redone to reduce lag
-Some new static objects added
-T-26 M/37 tank added
-Landing craft added
-Parachutes disabled

Silent Heroes Sound Pack:
A sound pack that changes some of the weapon sounds for the SH mod is now available to download from http://www.fileplanet.com/dl.aspx?/planetbattlefield/sh_sounds.zip
The weapons that have had their sounds replaced are:

- G36 and variants
- C8 and variants
- M240
- M249
- .50cal machineguns

BF 1918 Update:
The BF 1918 team is showing off some screenshots of their new 9.45-inch heavy mortar. These screenshot can be found at http://www.battlefield1918.de/news/
Liberation Update:
The Liberation mod team has released some screenshots, which can be viewed at http://liberation.bf1942files.com/. Included in these screenshots are the brass knuckle knife, a wooden beach obstacle, and more.

Latest Version of Surreal Mod Released:
The latest alpha version of the Surreal mod has been released and can be downloaded at http://homepage.ntlworld.com/wrallan/surreal/news.htm. This version only contains three converted BF maps, but new maps containing the Pandora and the Orb can be downloaded in a separate file.
New Mod Announced
A new mod, known as the Roller Coaster mod, has just entered development. This mod will obviously focus on roller coasters, but not too much more in known about it. You can drop by their official site to view some models and read the story of how it all started.

Secret Weapons of WWII for Mac Users:
DICE has announced that the BF1942 expansion pack, Secret Weapons of WWII, will be developed for Mac users and will be released sometime in the third quarter of 2004.
BF2 mod Announced:
The first mod for BF2, known as Zero Hour, is already in production. According to their official site, the following will be included in the first few public releases:
1st public release:

>Fixing of possible BF2 issues
>16+ New Vehicles
>30+ New weapons
>2 New Armies
>New Objective style maps
>New Gameplay Features/Details to be added after 1st release:
