Since this isn't a new month, it's the question of the week.

What's the exact difference in clicking on an airport full of planes and selecting a standard attack (like limit losses or ignore losses) and selecting "attack airport?"

"airport attack" exclusively attacks the air units in the hex. it does not attack any ground units. it is an important way for your arty or long range missles to hurt the enemy's airpower. they are often very effective attacks.
