Oh yes, very nice indeed. Well done Maddog to find a good
substitute so quickly!
One question: How to put the personal portrait (usually soldier's
head) into the post? (I tested Scipio's nerves a bit when I wanted my own silly picture included, so I'd also like to use it!)

Glad you like the new forum. Don't get too comfortable with the new color scheme because it will probably change.

To add you own image click on the "User CP" button at the top of the page. Once inside you will see a link that says options. You can upload your image from there.

Enjoy.

Funny, why do they call it an "avatar" instead simply "portrait" or something ...

Your picture scares me! :p

Aki, it sounds the German and the Finnish god of war must battle for the crown. See you in Russia! :D

P.S.: Did the Saami had a god of war?

The original picture is by Frank Frazetta, a fantasy art on which there is even a sword and sorcery book series starring - guess who - Deathdealer :D

About gods I have little knowledge but as ancient Finns and Saamis have been meddlind each other for couple of thousand years I suppose they have similar elder gods. I like Norse gods too - Thor comes to my mind...

There is something about Franzetta's paintings that are disturbing but very compelling. Great image!
I am new to this forum, I like the layout very much, and hope to contribute a thing or two.

The Norse God Thor prepares to strike down one of the Giants, enemies of mankind, with his Hammer "Mjollnir". Your picture is great DD, sort of reminds me of one of the riders of the apocolypse.

Well, well - isn't that Vallejos work

Seriously I have basically one CD full of all kinds of fantasy pictures - if anybody is interested they should go to www.hebus.com as that page is filled with some nice pics from all kinds of things.

The black font on dark green in some areas is hard to read, is it just me?:(

Very hard to read... But green looks brown in my browser and still difficult!! :(

The background has been lightened quite a bit so it should look better now.

On this particular forum I don't have an option to set the text on the forum to one color and the text at the top and bottom of the page to another. Therefore it is somewhat of a challenge to create an appealing color scheme that is also legible.

I have adjusted my Gamma, brightness, and contrast settings and now the Forum is well read including all the transistion fonts!!

Could you make the home button go back to warfarehq.com? Or the Banner to to be link to warfarehq.com?

Forum looks great!:D

Thank you so much Maddog, I was brought here to help on some mission which I am not sure yet what it is but I am here, also if I don't come I will never see rooster again as he goes off to fight. I never hardly see him anyway, as he is always away on some mission or other. Maybe this way I will track him down and serve him some rations from time to time. Keep his strength up you know, at least so when he comes home on leave.

Oh wait - is this Missus Gonzales??? It's all my fault, I have recruited Michael. He never told me that he is married - now I have made another wargaming-widow :(

Scipio been wargaming widow for the past 6yrs. so that makes me a hero instead of a widow....LOL. Seriously thou, I enjoy looking at the maps everyone has created expecially my husband and am very happy that now the trees look like trees and everything around the battle field looks really cool.....I have played a scenrio a while back and liked it. You see I like these type of games, I started way back when Doom first came out and getting the bad guy is great.....so fight on soldiers, and let the wars begin.
:)
