Number of place names

Is there a way to tell how many place names are in a scenario? I'm trying to figure out if I have room to add more place names to a scenario. As I'd like to add the next smaller 'layer' of towns, I'd like to know if I'll have enough room before I get half way through and realize I've got no more room.

This info might be in the scenario dump file. Probably not, though.

Unfortunately not. The dump file will give you named objectives and supply points, but not just names if it isn't one of these two.
