YOu may wish to check out PCGAMERJune 2004.
Bill Trotter reviewed the game (all be it briefly for the paper press) - Pg 71 - the images don't do the game justice but Bill gave it 87%
He said:
" I consider all four of John Tillers previous Modern Campaigns first rate but I think North German Plain is the most challenging and exciting of the lot."
he goes on to say:
"Tiller and crew have done full justice to the subject NGP85 is a supberly detailed utterly gripping Wargame"

... I should have added that Jim Cobb in his "Behind the Lines" on Wargamer hinted that there was a big ADD-on Modules in the works for North German Plain '85. I can add that the rumor is true. Details will have to wait for the release, but we're hoping to make it available for download in a week or two.

NGP and all the twentieth century games from John Tiller and HPS are supported there.
Thanks. I did read that PCGamer article.
A great game better than Fulda Gap '85.
Pick up a copy.

Rahamy,
I'm currently playing Modern Air Power: War Over Vietnam, Tiller's latest, for a review here at ACG. Any of you MBC guys have it also?
It looks like a great game. I saw the review in PCG, and I thought it might be cool. I wont be able to get it, considering I'm building my own computer from brand-new parts.

Another good source is www.shopforsoftware.com -they are out of St Louis - their retail store goes by Software Plus - they normally have games for less than anywhere else I have seen them.
They are listed on the HPS site. They had some sales on - as I was fortunate enough visit the store last weeekend -- got Rzhev for 26.99.

Hi Jim,
Yes, a few are playing it there. We're working on a plan to incorporate it into the club now. Also check out this forum:

The scenario designer for the game plus a couple of the testers frequent it. It's been very active since the game was released.

I just recently got this game. I absolutely love it! I'm relatively new to the genre of hex-based gaming and found this pretty easy to pickup. There's a decent tutorial to get you started as well. I think it's also deep enough that if you are experienced you should still get plenty of miles out of it.
I take it this forum is more a place to talk about gaming rather than to actually find opponsnts...so, if you are looking for others to play the game against, check out this club:

Guys:
A couple fellas are playing a Campaign Game from North German Plain with an independant Neutral observing providing editorial comments with screen captures.
It's all good fun - the whole thing will take a fair bit to play out but the first days has been completed now - keep in mind the game system uses 3 Hours per turn in the daylight and 6 hours at night.
You can read the first days coverage at:
