Has anyone played the scenario called Blitzkrieg from TDG?

How balanced is it?

I have, and I suspect several others here have as well....

As for balance and playability (is that an actual word?!?), it is marvelous (this is, IMHO of course!). Both sides have the same forces in their OOB....the only difference is in their respective TOE- Blue uses US/NATO equipment, while Red is a Soviet/WP client-state.

One of my favorites...but that's a reply for another thread, at another time (like after I mow the yard....hooray!)

It is almost too balanced. Two evenly matched opponents may find it boring if they are able to match each other's moves tit for tat. Thus it really accentuates the differences between levels of skill as well as the asymmetries of player1 vs. player2 (e.g., P1 ravaging P2's airfields to gain air superiority).

The modern equipment give units tremendous staying power even in the light of mulitple attacks...so once the two sides close in the middle of the map it turns into a bloody stalemate (between two equally matched opponents). The only saving grace is the dynamic events for amphibious assaults or airmobile attacks.

It is definitely a well made and a tight scenario...

I would have to agree with Brian. Well done scenario and would be great for tournament play, but I can see alot of draws being reported.
