Siberian HEAT - Some of you may recall our WarfareHQ team marching off to do battle with Rugged Defense and The Ghost Brigade ladders a few months ago in the Battle of the Ladders 2002 Tournament. We have put together a hardcore group of gamers from our ladder to represent WarfareHQ...

For the first round we played Two Weeks in Normandy by Brett Turner. The WarfareHQ team had an excellent performance in this round and we currently lead the scoring going into round 2. Our players are on a short leave before we return to the front lines to continue the conflict. Be sure to check the web page once in a while to see how your team is faring. We are working hard to bring home victory to you guys!

What is the status of this tournament? Are there still games in progress or what? I haven't heard anything for a while.

The BOL web page is not being maintained, so there is no way for people to follow the action.

Currently we are playing round 2. Richard1, Sheik Yerbouti, Jamiam and myself are all fighting hard to carry the WarfareHQ banner to victory (Fist and Gen. Orn are alternates this round). The round 2 scenario is Tobruk '41 v.3.6 and so far our team is holding their own, although it is much too early to predict outcomes.

Interestingly enough, we had an issue come up (Jamiam discovered this) where Tobruk 3.6 was found to have a flaw whereby the Commonwealth reinforcements on turn 10 arrive but are stuck in garrison mode. This means they are useless.

However, Gwydion (Rugged Defense Captain) and Manowar (The Ghost Brigade Captain) both showed tremendous sportsmanship by not allowing this flaw to count against the WarfareHQ team (since I selected the scenario). (I) we learned a valuable lesson in that even simple changes to a scenario can cause huge repercussions in unexpected ways.

Rah Rah Rah, go WarfareHQ!!!! :nofear:
