Recently played a game of "2 weeks in Normandy".
Every time I put my AA/AT units (88 mm) in the line of fire they were roughly handled. Even when they were attacked by armored units only, they got their ass kicked.

What's the best way in going about their deployment?

Should these units be deployed with infantry protection?

Should they be deployed en masse in mutually supporting locations?

Just wondering.:hmmm: :hmmm: :hmmm:

I tend to deploy such unit with a Infantry unit for support. Combined in a WW2 scenario it makes a strong defensive grouping

AA guns are best used to defend against enemy air units with interdiction / ground support orders.........An interdiction against units without AA is nearly a free shot (depending on units anti-air)......Placing AA with units most likely to be targeted will result in larger losses in enemy aircraft (and in turn, lighter losses for targeted troops)...........Don't forget Airfields, they should always have AA support.(moving air units to vacant or recently aquired enemy fields should have AA units, held back for just this purpose, moved to protect your air units.)

AT units should be moved to infantry units with low anti-tank ratings that you suspect are going to be attacked with enemy armor units......Consider it an instant beef-up of infantry Anti-Armor ratings........It may not have the armor rating, (won't last long against a good attack) but it does get the first shot.....Without good anti-armor, you won't knock out a single enemy tank.

Attacking with these type units or using these to plug holes is the LEAST possible way of using them correctly.
