Anyone seen Mantis?

Hey, has anyone been in contact with Mantis lately?

He's been MIA from my games for sometime now.
I'm just wondering if he's resumed playing anyone.

I've got a couple of games against Mantis that are inactive at the moment too. The last email I had from him was before christmas saying that he hoped to be back into it soon. One of our games is OPFOR, so I would assume that he would start this again as soon as he's able. I think its safe to assume he's still unavailable.

Ha! I figure the only reason I get preferential treatment is the OPFOR game ... which, btw, I think must be nearly due to be wrapped up? Round 2 seems to be dragging out a bit?

Round 2 is farther behind than you can believe.

Dan -> I hear you. No net connection when the node was being upgraded, a computer that blew up, and then this latest stuff... Profuse apologies. All of these things have been out of my control, and sometimes the things that life hits a person with make pretty much everything else seem insignifigant at best; but I feel horrible when I'm away. I love this game, and wish I never miss a day.

I emailed all of you (at the same session) telling about not being back home due to the amount of garbage the docs are putting me through (I may have a new form of Palsy named after me; just great, huh?) There was also a post on the board about it. But I was unable to specify dates, etc, as I was in the dark to that as well.

Again, please let me tell you all that I feel awful about missing my turns, and putting you guys through the waiting game. Never fear abandonment; I've never walked from a game (any game), and never will. I appreciate your endless patience with the BS I've had to go through.

I'm mostly home now, and will be able to resume things right away. Everyone expect something from me in the next day or so. I've got alot of turns to wade thru, and a wife that no longer works, but I'll get on it.

Oh, just as an update to everyone while I'm at it - the right side of my face is 95% back to normal. However, the left side, after showing some improvement, has worsened, and makes the doctors all the more anxious to poke and prod me, as this is a 'unique occurrence'. I don't care either way, as at this point, even if I don't improve anymore, I can eat normal food again, talk mostly normal, and make facial expressions (at least 'half' of them, ;) ) well enough to communicate properly. (You can't imagine how odd it is to be laughing your ass off, and have no facial expression whatsoever. People look at you funny... :D )

At any rate, please let me apologize again for the wait, gentlemen. I feel absolutely horrible about putting you all out; you've been absolutely the best opponents (face to face or not) that I've ever come across. You have my sincerest appreciation, and respect.

I probably won't be able to get on the board much for a couple days, til I catch up on all my turns, but let me also take the chance to wish everyone else a happy New Year, and to say hello to the rest of the boys!

I can't believe how much I've missed reading through all the posts, and yakking it up with you all! I must be about 200 posts behind!
