Japanese invasion of North America

Are there any scenarios out there dealing with a hypothetical Japanese invasion of the North American west coast? I'm aware of the several Axis invasion scenarios, but I'm wondering about a solely Japanese invasion. Firstly, would such a situation be plausible, and secondly, would anyone play such a scenario, as I'm thinking of creating one (if one dosen't already exist).

There is a scenario called 'Fall of the West' that is dealing with an asian invasion of western US in 1990. It's not purely Japan vs. US but China+Japan+Korea vs. US.

I havn't played it so I can't comment on its quality and fun

:gas: Frankly, I don't think the Japanese, outside of a complete collapse of the United States military, would have been able to mount and sustain an invasion of the mainland. They would need to seize the Hawaii as a launching point, and frankly, knowing their track record on Guadacanal, I doubt they could sustain the logistic effort. I remember reading a book on the Japanese Army some years ago that left me wondering how they actually managed to achieve as much as they did.
Of course, being a hypothetical senario, you can pretty much give any set of reasons which would allow such an invasion to happen. It might have even been plausible for them to throw a couple of divisions into the Northwest for strictly political reasons (sort of a "Doolitle Raid" on a grand scale. In any event, go for it.

I think I'll go ahead with it (already ordered some books/resources!), but it'll be more of a large-scale raid to destroy forces and industrial areas, somewhat more plausible. After the occupation of Attu and Kiska, there was a major scare (especially in Canada) about Japanese landings on the pacific coast. I am just curious what would happen had the Japanese attempted any landings, wether plausibly successful or not.

There's a scenario on the site TOAW.co.uk. It's called "America invaded!-Japan".
It's probably not what you're looking for though;it's set in 2003. I've never even opened the scenario myself so I have no idea what it's like.
