Acow & Xp

Has anyone noticed any oddities with ACOW and XP? Nothing major, but strange stuff, like the screen doing a mini-lockup, or going black or mssg boxes closing on their own. Nothing that can't be easily fixed, but odd nonetheless.

easy to fix.
right click on the OPART .exe's, select properties/compatibility and activate the Win2000 compatibility.
Done :D

After Windows 2000 compatibility is enabled are there still issues with ACOW, or does that fix everything for Windows XP? I've been thinking about switching to XP for a while, but I'll wait if it's going to screw up my ACOW.

I wonder if they will care to patch ACOW for XP. The problems doesn't really stop ACOW from working, it's just so annoying.

I seriously doubt it, although that would be very nice. Take 2 has a lousy record so far. :sad:

What problems does compatibility mode not solve? Anything serious?

For me, the game can't play at all when I try to tweak my compatibility settings, but it seems to work for others here. (checking back at the old forum posts)

It seems to be working fine now for me, after doing the tweaking listed above.
